Established in Germany in 1862, Heim Sohne was a prominent tortoiseshell manufacturer, known for crafting combs. Shifting from tortoiseshell in the early 1900s to protect tortoises, the company pioneered the ethical alternative 'Plexiglass'. Today, run by the 5th and 6th generation of owners, the original factory produces exquisite handcrafted kitchenware and cutlery. Each product is hand crafted using traditional methods and delicate craftsmanship developed over decades of working and intense study, and cannot be replicated by any machine.
